Hoping to inject some steroids to a weakened offensive line, Coach Richt jumped on news of a Max Garcia's departure from the University of Maryland so he can transfer to an SEC school. Garcia, a native of Georgia, is a 6-ft, 4 in, 290 lb sophmore and Georgia native Maryland gracioulsy let go so he could play closer to home. Both Muschamp and Spurrier are going after the experienced player as well. Hopefully he will find Athens is a hell of a lot closer to his hometown of Norcross than either Gainsville or Columbia. As we all know, however, the team quickly turned the season around following the two losses out of the box to Boise State and South Carolina, and went on a winning streak that resulted in the Dawgs winning the SEC East title before losing to the now National Champions, LSU Tigers, and the Outback Bowl Champions, Michigan State Spartans.

As many of y'all know, Tampa native, Orson Charles, has decided to leave UGA in order to enter the NFL draft, and we all wish him and his family the best of luck, and thank him for a job well done. Fortunately, however, the tightend is the only experienced player leaving the Dawgs early. The AJC has reported outside linebacker Cornelius Washington, defensive end Abry Jones and defensive backs Bacarri Rambo, Sanders Commings, Shawn Williams and Branden Smith
