Minutes from the January 2012 Board Meeting

The January Board Meeting took place on January 20.  In attendance were:

Kevin Davis, President
Joe Wright, Treasurer
Ken Klatt, Communications Chair

AGENDA

I. Consolidation of Member Data.  We are in the process of consolidating member contact information into an single database to protect it and keep it secure.  The board discussed logistical issues regarding this initiative.

II. Membership Dues.  The board unanimously agreed to reinstate membership dues, but continued the decision on the amount.  The board further agreed to consider the members' poll on the website before making a decision on the amount. Please vote in our poll.

III. Event Planning.
The board agreed to introduce a $5.00 charge to events for non-members, and no charge for dues-paying members. 
Joe will be hosting the Chili cookoff in February.
Kevin will arrange a social at YourPie for March.
Kevin will arrange a social in April at either Taps or Jackson's
The board agreed to keeping football game-watching parties at Players next Fall. 

IV. Newsletters. Newsletters will now be integrated with the new website.
